Norah at three months

Well that month just FLEW by.

Here are the 3-month highlights:

-Ear issues. Norah had her first ear infection on Christmas day. She was acting funny so we took her to the doctor to discover she had a double ear infection. Poor thing. She's her mother's daughter for sure on that one. She's still pulling on her ears this week, so we may be heading back to the ol' doc. Praying this doesn't become a pattern.

-Scooting. While laying on her back. She's creative--I'll give her that. She does this interesting little maneuver now where she digs her heels into the ground, lifts her hips, and pushes backward from her feet. She's able to move a few inches each time she does this. Now that she's somewhat mobile, we have to be very careful where we lay her. Which leads me to...

-Getting her head stuck in the side of the crib. Ugh. Because she's now moving, she is literally spinning in circles while she sleeps. Want proof?

8:00 p.m. We'll call this her 9 o'clock position.

11:00 p.m. Down to 6 o'clock.

And she continues to move clockwise throughout the night. The only problem with this is once she gets into the, oh, let's say 5/6 o'clock position, she bumps her head into the side of crib. Then she keeps trying to spin, thereby pushing her poor little head into the crib over and over again. And then she wakes up crying because it hurts. We often have to go in and turn her back to 9 o'clock. I'm really hoping she grows out of this!

-KICKING! Norah got a really fun toy for Christmas (thanks Aunt Courtney!) that attaches to her seat. She loooves it. She will happily kick the hanging toys on it for long periods of time. Here's a little peek:

Well, that's our three-month old! I'll leave you with some "talking"...

  1. Norah is SO expressive with her face and with her cute little body language! Thanks for sharing so much cuteness with us. What a joy!
