WOW. This post is almost three weeks late...geez.
At four months Norah is...
Height: 24.5 inches (45th percentile)
Weight: 13.7 lbs (45th percentile)
Head: 16 (45th percentile)
The doctor says she is "very proportionate"
She is...
-Making faces. To be specific, she's sucking on her lip. For about two weeks it was her top lip, as seen here:
and here:
She may look sad, but she's really just chewing on her lip. And then for the next two weeks it was her bottom lip, as seen here:
She keeps us entertained.
-Much to her mother's chagrin, she's still refusing a bottle. We've tried EVERYTHING and EVERY sort of bottle under the sun. We may end up just skipping the bottle altogether and going straight for the sippy cup soon.
-This month, we began saying goodbye to swaddling! We knew she was ready when we kept going into her room after naps to find her like this:
So we've taken away her blanket at night (still working on daytime naps) and she now sleeps like this:
Which leads me to...
-Chewing on her fingers. Norah especially likes chewing on her thumb. It's funny, though, because she's not a "thumb sucker"; she just sorta gnaws on it.
-Grabbing. Yay for some hand-eye coordination! This month she's started reaching out and grabbing things. Her favorite thing to snatch is this parrot on her play gym:
Well, that's our sweet four-month-old! Norah continues to a really laid-back baby and usually only cries if she's super hungry or tired. She smiles ALL the time now, which is so fun for us. She's very patient with her "learn as we go" parents, even when we accidently let her ride all the way home from church like this:
We love you, Norah!

Norah is cuteness personified and developing such a personality-- which we can't wait to experience in person sometime soon!!
