Here are Norah's 9 month doctor's appointment stats:
Height: 26 7/8 (17th percentile)
Weight: 16.5 (26th percentile)
Head: 17 1/8 (40th percentile)
This month she is...
-Babbling. She definitely has the "ma" and "ba" sounds down and uses them interchangeably. I've heard Matt secretly coaching Norah during bath time on "Dada," so that may be next.
-Pulling up on everything! If it's stationary and off the ground, Norah will try to pull up on it. For the last few weeks she's almost completely forgotten about all of her toys, and the coffee table is her favorite play thing. She pulls up and down on it all day long.
-Exploring. The doctor said it best at her appointment: "You can no longer trust her with anything." Boy was he right. Norah has discovered that the apartment goes beyond the living room, and she'll now crawl just about anywhere. She's intrigued by the most gross and dangerous things, and I have to watch her like a hawk. She sees a very different world than I do. For example, the toilet? Miniature pool/tub. Paper? Delicious. Electrical socket? Coolest thing in the house. Cell phone? Teething toy. A/C intake vent? Edible wall paper. We're hoping she grows out of these, otherwise kindergarden may be a little interesting. :)
I arranged the bottom shelf near the kitchen with lots of "Norah-safe" objects. Tupperware, containers filled with rice she can shake, and, of course, her favorite thing: the basting brush.

-Happy. With each month we're seeing Norah's little personality emerge more and more. She's curious and stubborn, but more than anything else she's a giggly and happy baby. We're so thankful for her, and it's honestly such a joy to be her parents.
Current dislikes: Being strapped into anything (car seat, high chair, etc.), sitting still, getting her diaper changed (goes along with the whole not-wanting-to-sit-still thing), and plain yogurt.
Current likes: Climbing, being tickled, sticking her tongue out, riding in the front of the shopping cart, and pretzel rods.
Wonderful update for those of us who miss Norah (and you and Matt, too)!! Thanks for all the details and great pictures. What a blessing to see that Norah is the picture of health and baby curiosity. :) LOVE THE BLOG, Maghan! It's also a great virtual baby book that Norah will greatly enjoy someday! So thankful you started blogging even before she was born. Keep up the great work on this, our sweet connection to ya'll.
