Courtney is very crafty and made the centerpieces and just about everything else--including this "baby girl" sign:
The food was beautiful...
The proud grandfather:

Presents! On the ground is the rocking horse my dad made for my first Christmas many, many years ago. He cleaned it up for me and it's now sitting in the baby's room!
Baby's great grandmother, Lila...

Sadly, we didn't get a group picture, but here's a side view of the tent:
At the end of the shower, Aimee gave me one of the sweetest gifts I've ever received. The quilt in this picture is made up of fabrics sent in by friends and family. People sent two pieces of matching fabric along with a note to our daughter explaining why they contributed that particular fabric. One piece of the fabric went into the quilt, and the other went into a scrapbook with all the notes. The scrapbook reads like one long letter to her, which I love. The pieces of the quilt are made up of everything from my dad's old army uniform, to my original baby bedding that my grandmother made, to fabric from the table runner at our wedding, to Matt's old camp sweatshirt. It's so special. It was the perfect end to a very special day.
A HUUUUGE THANK YOU to all the friends and family who left their mark on this quilt. And a very special thank you to Aimee for all of the time, energy, correspondence, and hours spent in front of the sewing machine to make it all possible!
What an amazing quilt! That's so wonderful. :)
