The Cancun pictures continue!
Here are some pictures showing where we got to sit everyday. We usually woke up late, ate breakfast in bed, and then headed out to the beach. Almost every morning we were greeted by this little fellow:
Several times he got frighteningly close to my chair.
Here's the view:

We got to read a TON on vacation. For memory's sake, here were my picks from the week:
1) "Holiness" by J.C. Ryle
I started reading this for a class that I ended up not taking this semester, but either way I really enjoyed it. It's one of those books that have to be read slowly because there are so many good things to soak in. I gave up underlining it after the first chapter because I was underlining almost every other sentence.
2)
"The Help" by Kathryn Stockett
This was my novel of the week and I LOVED it. This book is about 450 pages and I read it in less than three days--which actually says less about my speed than it does about how engaging of a book it is.
3)
"My Life in France" by Julia Child
Such a great book! Julia was such a gifted storyteller and you get such a taste of that (pun) from this book. It made me want to cook something and move to France all at the same time.
