It's a GIRL!

So we had our "gender reveal" ultrasound yesterday and are excited to share that we're expecting a GIRL!

Truth be told, I've been telling Matt all along that I thought it was a girl. I'm not sure why, I just really thought she was a, well, she. This ultrasound was really fun since we got to see her bouncing around the screen. We learned pretty quickly that she has a bit of a stubborn streak (I hope she leaves that character trait in the womb), as she kept her back toward us almost the entire time. Even with the ultrasound tech poking my stomach for over 20 minutes, the little thing still wouldn't roll over and let us see her face! All that to say, we unfortunately don't have any profile pictures. About 10 of the 12 pictures we were given look like this:

There she is! That's her back and right side with her arm up by her ears. I laughed when I saw it because this is exactly how I sleep--on my side with my arm up by my face.

After lots of poking she started to shyly turn her face towards the "camera".

Matt and I decided early on that we didn't want to find out the gender at the doctor's office, but instead have our nurse write it down on an envelope that we would open at lunch. So we left the doctor's office and headed to Toast, one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville!

Here we are at the end of our meal. Note the little card sitting on the table...

We're really excited and thankful to the Lord for the sweet gift of a healthy/growing little girl!
